what makes you happy? [not me]

“the ballad” by mr. meano is slowly growing on me.

“and every night i dream about abercrombie and fitch (old navy, too).”

the last two poems that have appeared in this diary were written exclusively for american lit. that class has been surprisingly fun the past few days. just poetry reading and song analyzing. there are some surprisingly good writers in our class. two poems have made mrs. bedford cry. and then there are some that are … not so deep. (“C-O-L-E is all that he can be!”) i really liked austin’s “ode to a terrorist”. it was funny and moving at the same time. he multiplied out hours spent crying over those lost on september eleventh. i’m not a big fan of the tragedy, but the poem was written quite well.

sam says:
seriously.
cole, your rear right tire is flat.
i hope you have a spare and a jack.

cole says:
it’s not completely flat you see.
i remembered to bring an air compressor with me.
