glamour bombs

i wonder .. when i go off to college, will high school become what eighth grade is to me now? something that feels like yesterday and a million years ago, better and worse all at the same time? i am going to be homesick, i just know it. and i have no idea where i want to go, what i want to be. everyone is growing up too fast, me included.

thanksgiving is in two days. the holiday season is nearly upon us. i <3 christmas. i have so many good ideas for presents this year, and no money with which to buy them. but that is how it always is. and everything on my christmas list is $30 or less, with the exception of the MP3 player i want. each year i ask for less and less. mostly i want books and other cute little things.

i'm thinking of leaving some glamour bombs. i think it would be a cute idea. and i'd like to get involved with 1000journals.com, but apparently an available journal is VERY hard to come across. perhaps some of my friends would like to do this with me instead .. and maybe a few people we know on the internet or something. i don’t know. *shrugs* i like the concept.

i’ve done something that’s similar to the 1000 journal project. they’re called decos and FBs (friendship booklets), i don’t know if you’ve ever heard of it. decos are basically a stapled booklet that gets passed around place to place, and each person who gets them has to design their own page in the book. once the book is finished, you write a note to get it sent back to you. i have one deco that came back years after i initially started it. it’s fun to do (but very time consuming), you don’t even have to do it with people you know, at least i didn’t, sometimes i would though. & FBs are also booklets with your address and a list of your hobbies and things like that, i’ve met awesome people this way from all over. decos are more elaborate.

i haven’t done these things in years, i almost forgot about them. we should do it, just for fun, but in most cases, people get so lazy in doing them that they end up sitting around and collecting dust.
