today at lunch i shared my stories of this weekend with matt & melissa & nathaniel. i mentioned that mike hugged me and kissed me on the forehead (while he was in uniform!) … and also that he leaned over the counter at mcdonald’s to give me a kiss goodbye when i stopped by to see him there.
matt’s eyes got really wide at this news. “wow, that doesn’t sound like mike,” he said.
“you’re telling me,” i replied.
nathaniel suggested, “maybe mike’s just now realizing what he has.”
i don’t know the reason for the change, either, but i like it.
