i came back from the game today telling myself that whichever caf was serving chicken nuggets tonight was where i was going to eat. turns out, hubbard had chicken nuggets tonight!!! YAY! so i had a feast of chicken nuggets, honey mustard, and a cheese-filled breadstick. i ran into ashley in the cafeteria. yay for chicken nuggets! yay for ashley! yay for septum piercings! :D
so my saturday night didn’t quite go as planned … but jessie’s spending the night at home so at least i have the room to myself. she had her cousin, lexi, over last night … and not that they were loud or obnoxious or anything, but it’s just nice to be alone once in awhile. so i showered, played age of mythology for several hours, and added about a page to my paper. now i’m sitting here with still nothing to do. nathaniel just called and wants to go out. that’s right, at 11:30pm, he wants to go out. i love the college lifestyle.
i’ve been having “missing mike” pangs lately. sometimes it seems like he is so far away.
i have found that chewing gum prevents me from chewing my fingers. thus, i have three packs of orbit gum in my desk drawer. i’ve got to kick this habit. seriously. it’s been horrible, especially lately. we’re talking to the point where i can’t hold a pen/pencil because it hurts too much. i’ve been bleeding all over my computer keyboard (just from typing!) and all over nathaniel’s trumpet keys (just from playing!). damn.
nothing else interesting to report. msu won the football game against illinois today (38-25). their band actually came, so that was pretty cool. we played postgame together and the flugelhorns stood among the third trumpets. that is all.
a few words to live by:
“and if they were pierced, they’d be kristen’s!” – tim
“i’ll let you know what’s going on when i figure it out myself.” – nathaniel
“i wish i was a hot girl who played trumpet in the marching band.” – random tailgater i passed on my way to the field this morning (why oh WHY must hubbard be so far away?!)
