rods of ice

winter dawns again and i know this year i will spend the holidays cold and alone. usually by this time i am counting down the days until christmas, but instead i am counting down the days until christmas plus one (when it’s all over). so maybe i’m just an ice queen but i know someone who can make my heart melt. i was looking for myself when i found you. i made a wish on a shooting star last summer and suddenly, there you were, living in my life. i knew that i wasn’t ready to let someone else in … but i also knew that i had to. so i suppose i just wanted to thank you. thank you for making an appearance in my world, and for teaching me about life, love, and myself.
