last night was very, very fun. nathaniel’s entry summed it up quite eloquently, i think.

i was supposed to work 7:30am-3:30pm, but i wasn’t feeling well, so i somehow convinced holly to let me leave around 11am. actually, there was really no convincing involved. it went more along these lines:

KRISTEN: holly, i am really not feeling well. is there any possibility of me going home?
HOLLY: if you could just hold out until scott gets back from his break, that would be great.
KRISTEN: okay, when will that be?
HOLLY: well … he hasn’t gone YET, so about thirty minutes.
KRISTEN: okay.

[[five minutes later]]

KRISTEN: holly?
HOLLY: yes?
KRISTEN: i am DEFINITELY not going to make it another half an hour.
HOLLY: fine .. just .. go!

i went with nathaniel down to the brighton area to visit our good friend derek dobies. his house is N-I-C-E. and the boy knows how to fucking dress. and smells extremely good. his new glasses also make him look very intelligent (but let’s not give him TOO much credit). anyway, after a quick hug from derek, nathaniel and i were off again. we ran back to fenton to pick up matt … made a run to farmer jack’s … then to subway and VG’s … and FINALLY we were on our way to birch run.

sam and mason awaited our arrival at the holiday inn express. we watched a lot of MTV, spent some quality time at the pool (man i love my tattoo), and played taboo and malarky. not to mention we ate a lot of chips and baguette and drank a lot of wine.

i would now like to take this time to mention that nathaniel is a sorry excuse for a drunk. first he gets goofy and stupid, next he calls everyone in his cell phone contacts list, then he proceeds to be downright MEAN (we are talking physical violence here, folks). plus he somehow manages to reveal every secret of mine that is even semi-worth knowing. then he wonders why no one wants to sleep in the same queen size bed as him. well, mason WAS going to sleep with him … until nathaniel informed mason that he could never have sex because he’d blow his load in thirty seconds (or something along those lines). i clearly remember nathaniel screeching, “you guys are being ASSHOLES!”

nathaniel – you know i still like you anyway. :)

matt, on the other hand, decided it would be a good idea to chug bacardi o and see what would happen. mostly he just got giggly and talked on the phone to his girlfriend a lot.

me? i had one glass of wine and laughed my ass off at everyone else.

i proceeded to wake in the middle of the night to nathaniel snoring, matt breathing loudly, sam whimpering, and mason grinding his teeth. quite the lovely bunch they were. my parents were like, “you stayed in a hotel with four boys???? our daughter knows how to do it.” hahaha.

josh (droog) called me at midnight, which made me happy. also – i never mentioned that both josh and derek sent me text messages on christmas! awww. i adore my msu boys!

i work 5am-1pm tomorrow and don’t yet know my schedule for the rest of the week. my ipod is currently in anchorage, alaska. YAY! should be here early next week. awesome.

i am really looking forward to going back to school.
