man. i am having a super good week thus far.
ashley came up on monday and stayed for a few days. we always have so much random fun. oh, and congrats to ashley on making it into the spartan marching band colorguard!! wooooooot. the two of us moved a bunch of stuff into our new dorm room on wednesday. nick and jason came and helped put our carpet in, and after much todo we figured out how we wanted to arrange our room.
wednesday evening after ashley left i was on my way to the music building to practice when bill called me. “you know you want to come over to kelly’s dorm,” he said. so i went and hung out with kelly, karen, and bill. we ate bean dip (with REALLY lime-y tortilla chips) and then went over to the “bone house” where i met a bunch of the trombone boys i am always hearing about. jon whiting made me two white russians that he claimed only had 1.5 shots each, but i swear it was more like 3 or 4 shots each. yeah. because i was pretty hammered.
yesterday (thursday) afternoon, mike came up to help me move the remainder of my belongings over to shaw. mainly the bigger items (futon, bikes, TV, fridge). 318 west shaw is one hot dorm room, my friends. plus i had a fantastic time chilling with mike. we went to burger king and i let him drive my car. i was impressed with his stick shift skills.
i came back to linden last night and went to taco bell with jeff and john. then we went to meijer for no reason other than the cops came and told us we couldn’t hang out in the taco bell parking lot. haha.
my coach purse came today and it is so cute! i consequently had to buy a new wallet because my old one was too big to fit in my new demi bag … but matt helped me pick out a really cute green wallet so all is well.
tomorrow i have a dentist appointment and a possible trip to east lansing. then sunday i move in for good. i’m so excited/anxious/nervous for this year. i can’t wait.
