My birthday this year was pretty good. I got $30 from Grandma and $40 from Dad. I received a package from Corner with a newly adjusted collar for Nigel and some goodies from Trader Joe’s. Apparently there is still another package coming from him. Today I received a GARGANTUAN package from Mom and KC containing a sweeeeeeeeeet diploma frame. There is no diploma in it though, apparently Mom received the diploma in the mail the same day she mailed my package. But my diploma is now on its way to me!
I enjoyed a very lazy but fun weekend. Friday I went to the gym with Geoff and we baked caterpillar cupcakes. We couldn’t quite do a Clementine Caterpillar because we had no tiny cake pan for the face, but we can damn close. Funfetti cupcakes are so good!
Saturday night Geoff and I went to Hookah! and had a Nick at Nite hookah. I also ordered some lamb dish and Geoff had spaghetti. Then we met up with Kyleigh and rented a movie (The Eye) and drank pina coladas.
Last night (Sunday) I went to Happy Hollow Park to play volleyball with Nikki and some of her friends. Sprunger showed up near the end with his roommate, Joe. The four of us went to Sprunger’s and picked up his Wii, then to my place to pick up my Wii wheel and guitar. We then proceeded to Nikki’s apartment where Tiago soon joined us and we played video games until nearly 2:30am.
Like I said, it was a good birthday weekend. :D
The apartment doesn’t have air conditioning, which kinda sucks. At night I’ve been turning on the window air conditioner that Corner gave me and it works well, but I’m afraid to use it all the time and either break it or run up the electric bill. My roommate is also never home, which is pretty lonely.
And without further ado, I present to you my future housing wish list.
Items I absolutely must have in the first place where I settle down for more than a year:
Kitchen
- Garbage disposal
- Sink sprayer!!!!!
- Dishwasher
Miscellaneous
- Bathroom counter/storage space
- Washer/dryer (preferably in their own designated laundry room)
- Closet that is actually big enough for all the clothes I wish to hang there
Additional items that would be nice, but not absolutely crucial:
- Jacuzzi
- Flat panel HDTV

Hey, I found your blog through your facebook. I’m basically stalking you. I’m glad you had a good birthday weekend. I literally worked all weekend. I had a double shift saturday. Another reason I couldn’t hang out. I sent you a massive message through facebook. Yeah…you have a pretty intimidating resume. Granted I’ve only had two years of college, but still…damn.
