Summer wind was always our song.

So I’ve been in Indiana for nearly a month and I’ve said hardly anything about it. I like Purdue, for the most part. My apartment leaves a few things to be desired (for example, there is a jungle growing outside), but for the most part I like it a lot. We are currently without cable/internet which is also pretty lame, and we won’t be getting a new modem until NEXT SATURDAY. I suppose after my (bad) experiences with Comcast in the past year I’ve come to accept the fact that cable companies suck.

Last Friday I went to the gym with Geoff and then we went to Subway & Harry’s Chocolate Shop. We then proceeded to Jake’s, where Sprunger joined us. We ended the night at Hookah!

Saturday was spent being lazy, then Geoff and I rented Little Miss Sunshine.

Sunday I went grocery shopping, did my laundry, and ran other errands. There was a big storm that night that caused us to lose power at the house again. So I took a nap, then went over to Brittany’s apartment to play Apples to Apples with Rachel and Clayton and some other kids.

Mostly my week consists of working a lot, but yesterday around 3pm Nikki texted me and informed me that the Glassmen were rehearsing half an hour away. So after work, I changed and took out Nigel before Sprunger came to pick me up. The two of us went to Wendy’s and then to Nikki’s apartment to pick her up. We then drove to Clinton Prairie High School (located in BFE, Indiana). We caught the entire last block of the evening so we got to watch the brassline warm up and then do ensemble.

The show is entertaining but it seemed so short! I wish there was more to it but I’m sure they will do well with it. My favorite part is when the trumpets sit on the giant trunk props and play the circus theme. And I like the drum feature too of course. And the first segment of the opener. And the end of the show. Hell, I like the whole thing and part of me wishes I was marching — but then I stop and think about it and I can come up with PLENTY of reasons why I am not there.

Movies I want to see this summer:
Kung Fu Panda
You Don’t Mess With the Zohan
Get Smart
Wall-E
Wanted

Who’s in?

Had a dream on Saturday night, just hadn’t posted it yet because I thought I should post a bit more than just a brief dream analysis.

Tornado
To see a tornado in your dream suggests that you are experiencing some extreme emotional outbursts and temper tantrums. Is there a situation or relationship in your life that may be potentially destructive?

Mother
To see your mother in your dream represents the nurturing aspect of your own character. Mothers offer shelter, comfort, life, guidance and protection. Some people may have problems freeing themselves from their mothers and are thus seeking their own individuality and development.

Church
To dream that you are in a church may mean that you are questioning and debating your life path and where it is leading. You are reevaluating what you want to do.
