So I am currently sitting in the O’Hare airport and decided that I should probably write a blog entry since I paid $6.95 for a few hours of internet access.
California was great, as usual. I got into the Orange County airport at about 2pm on Wednesday (July 2). Corner met me there and we headed to Darrin’s. The 3 of us had sushi that evening and it was DELICIOUS and not too expensive.
Thursday Corner and I went to El Matador beach (awesome cove beach with surrounding cliffs, we had to climb down a bunch of stairs to get to the actual beach). Thursday evening we went to see WALL-E on at the El Capitan theatre on Hollywood Blvd. I’m not sure it was worth the $16 (EACH!), considering we couldn’t even sit wherever we wanted, but it was such a cute movie!
Friday we went shopping for a bit (I hit up Victoria’s Secret hardcore) and then we left Los Angeles and headed for Palm Desert. Holy hell was it hot there. The pool wasn’t even that refreshing considering the water was so warm.
Saturday we hung out, ventured down to the pool, played Mario Kart Wii, and went shopping AGAIN (more Victoria’s Secret semiannual sale!).
Sunday we went up to visit Corner’s parents in Silent Valley RV Park. We played cards, visited the pool/hot tub, and stayed the night.
Monday we went into the nearby Idyllwild for lunch. I had a really yummy turkey sandwich with avocado and muenster cheese on cranberry bread. The bread was pink, which kind of made my day. After lunch Corner and I headed BACK to Darrin’s place in LA. We went for Thai food with Darrin and Shane and then rented a movie (Charlie Bartlett).
Today Corner and I woke up at 4am so I could get to the airport in time for my 6:47am flight. Leaving the boy on the other side of the country always sucks. I can’t even put into words how horrible it is, but I swear it gets worse each time. Especially as I come to terms with the fact that I probably don’t have the means to move to California unless I procure a job out there (and SOON). I’m hopeful.
I have decided the only good things in Indiana are as follows: Nigel, my PS3, and Glassmen friends.

Awwwww. Well Kathykins is coming to see you soon!!!!! And how did you like Charlie Bartlett? I thought it was cute. I also have hit up the VS sale… but not very much. I really work too much to go to the mall. Which is good because then I don’t spend my money. <333333 you!
