Well, I think I am ready! Nigel is at the doggie bed & breakfast (and apparently getting on quite well there! The owner already called to say so). He will get to play with other dogs on 10 acres of land while I am gone. Sounds like a nice vacation to me :)
After much ado I decided there is no way I am going to fit everything I need for this trip into a carryon bag, so I’m taking my giant rolling duffel even though it’s only 2/3 full.
The best part is that after I get back, Corner will arrive home only 10 days later! I’m so ready! Dinners have been soooo boring without him. I have been eating a lot of cereal, eggs, fish, edamame, pita hummus, veggie burgers, chicken nuggets, and soy corndogs. In case you are unfamiliar with my cooking habits, I don’t really like preparing raw meat. One of these days I will make some tacos or something but for now Im looking forward to several days of eating in restaurants.
And now I’m off to sleep because I have to wake up super early in the morning in order to get to the San Jose airport.
