ALL OF THIS STUFF IS DONE:
Venue
We will be having both the ceremony and reception at Waldenwoods Resort in Hartland, Michigan.
Attire
My dress, the bridesmaids’ dresses, my headpiece, and my shoes have all been purchased. I won’t get to see/try on my dress until late August (it arrived in Michigan 2 days after I was there for Dad’s wedding — go figure!). Corner has figured out what he and his groomsmen are wearing.
Engagement Photos
Corner and I had our engagement photos taken by the lovely Melissa Copeland (she will be shooting our wedding, too — can’t wait!!!). I can’t say enough awesome things about her. We spent an entire day in April trekking around the city. I plugged in our route on RunKeeper and estimated that we walked about 10 miles total! Needless to say, I could NOT wear my cute high heels the entire time.
We went to Riverside Park, Times Square, Bryant Park, Highline Park, and ended the day at Brooklyn Bridge Park.
The day started out lovely and sunny and progressively got more overcast. by the end of the day, it was trying to rain but never really did.
Save the Dates
We (FINALLY) mailed our save the date postcards last Friday. I was debating whether to send them at all, but when Corner and I were visiting Michigan in April for my dad’s wedding, it seemed that a lot of people were confused about our wedding date or whether or not they were invited…so sending save the dates seemed like the obvious solution.
Wedding Website
Our wedding website went live last week: kristenandcorner.com! (By the way, this was a compromise of sorts….using “Craig” for the paper goods and “Corner” for the website URL.)
ALL OF THIS STUFF STILL NEEDS TO HAPPEN:
Invitation Suite
I think I found a letterpress printer, now I just have to settle on a design. I’ve found it hard to reign myself in when it comes to designing our invites and the rest of our paper goods; I just have SO MANY IDEAS! If anyone has any thoughts as to how I can narrow down my ideas and regain some focus, I’m all ears.
Jewelry
I need to get some awesome bling for my ears. And maybe a bracelet…?

I found Anatometal to be soooo expensive. I just got some 1″ pretties from

Might want to check them out.
I actually ended up buying some Anatometal plugs for my upcoming wedding; I waited for a good sale on Bodyartforms.com to help make them more affordable. :) Plus it’s a pair that I will wear again. While Anatometal is expensive, the finish is just so gorgeous…I can’t resist!
Just go with an idea you love. On my wedding day I barely remembered the invites and now we have like 200 extras sitting around!
